The admin dashboard
A tour of the dashboard: overview, operations, users and access, map layers, appearance and help.
The dashboard is where administrators do the heavy lifting: reviewing everything that is happening, managing people and access, and configuring layers and integrations. It is deliberately separate from the map. Anything crew need in the middle of an event, such as creating a task, is reachable from the map itself, and the dashboard is for the work around it. This page tours the dashboard and shows where each part is documented.
Open the dashboard#
Choose Dashboard in the navigation (or press D). On a computer the navigation shrinks to a slim icon rail so the dashboard has room, and a Back to map button sits at the top of its section list. Esc also returns to the map when nothing else is open. On a phone the section list opens as a drawer.
Everybody can open the dashboard, but what they find depends on their access level. Ordinary users see only Tasks under Operations, plus Appearance, User Settings and Help. Administrators see everything below. Details are in Roles and permissions matrix.
The home page#
Dashboard home greets you by name and starts, for administrators, with a live Overview. Below it, All sections lists every place in the dashboard as a card, so nothing is more than one tap away.
Overview#
The overview refreshes about every 30 seconds while the tab is visible, and pauses when it is hidden. It has five parts:
- Header: the event name, how many people are online and how long the server has been running, plus a health line that reads All clear or N items need attention.
- Needs attention: cards that appear only when something needs a person. Each one opens the view where you fix it.
- Key figures: tiles for open work, notes, zones, users and people online, each with a “+N today” trend. Tapping a tile opens the matching view.
- Recent activity: the latest eight changes across the event, with View all leading to the full activity log.
- Incident response and online now: the average time to acknowledge and to resolve incidents over the last 24 hours, and the names of who is connected.
| Attention card | Meaning | Opens |
|---|---|---|
| Critical incidents unacknowledged | A critical incident nobody has taken responsibility for yet. | Incidents |
| SLA breaches / escalated | Incidents that ran past their response time. | Tasks |
| Blocked items | Work that is marked Blocked. | Tasks |
| Access requests pending | People who asked to join and wait for approval. | Access Requests |
The sections#

Work with the lists#
Operations views are filterable tables that follow the same habits everywhere.
- Tasks and Incidents list work items with a New Task button and a Refresh button. The Incident Log offers a Log view and a Table view, and a Categories button for the incident categories your team uses. Each row can show the item on the map, open its history, edit it, or delete it where you are allowed to.
- Notes has a search box and filters for role and status (Active or Archived), and loads more rows as you go. Administrators can see, restore and delete any note here.
- Areas & security zones filters by severity, owner and role, and has its own list of imported powerzones.
- Activity shows the change log with time, type and action filters. See Activity log and data export.
On a phone the tables turn into labelled cards, one per record, so nothing needs sideways scrolling. Choosing Show on map on a row closes the dashboard and flies the map to that item.
Favorites#
Every section on the home page and in the section list has a star. Star the ones you use most and they appear together under Favorites, both on the home page and at the top of the list. Favorites are stored on your device and are kept separately for each user account.
Classic dashboard#
Devices using the classic layout get the earlier dashboard, with a horizontal tab strip and a landing view of overview and tasks. It offers the same functions in an older arrangement and receives only security and data fixes. See Your account and appearance to switch between layouts.
